Recently, we joined friends and family of client Ariel Weiss in blessing her new home, designed by MA&D,
and wished her well as she began a new chapter in her life.

A little over a year ago, a tragic house fire consumed Ariel's home, and left her with nothing but memories
and a few saved personal mementos. After such a traumatic experience, Ariel took comfort in rebuilding the house and creating a space that reflected her life. To do so, she called upon her "dream team"--Metcalfe Architecture & Design--to create the house of her dreams on the existing footprint of her former home.

The dream team from left: Ken Lord (Contractor), Jason Manning, Ariel Weiss' daughter, Emma,
Dave Williams, Ariel Weiss, and Alan Metcalfe

Working closely with Alan, Jason, and Dave, Ariel re-imagined the house with a simple floor plan; an open,
airy living space; loft ceilings; and soft, warm colors that enlivened each room.

For friends and family, this was their first glimpse of the new house, and they couldn't be happier for Ariel. Friends were amazed by the beautiful design, the high ceilings, the open, light-filled space, and appreciated
the personal touches that reflected Ariel's personality.

Those few saved family heirlooms that meant the world to Ariel--an antique sewing machine, her father's tuba, and a glorious mantel clock, warm and unify the space.

Atop what were once ashes, the "dream team" created the modern, inviting home Ariel envisioned.
